Golf fun

I couldn't believe it! The nearest I ever came to a hole in one was this close! The 17th hole at Panther Creek, Alicia had hit hers first and was only about 4 feet away. I high fived her and asked her for her lucky tee. I hit my 6 iron, it bounced once, hit the stick and settled where you see it.

Bummer. Maybe some day.

Backyard paradise

The only way to stay cool, is in the pool.
"What do you think people are doing right now that don't have a pool?"

Camden went to Ian's birthday party, and this is the fun to have when it's a million degrees out!

Our kid rocks

We took Camden, our oldies rocker, to see Kansas, performing free downtown. It was LOUD, we should have taken earplugs. I don't know what was more amusing: Camden rocking out to Kansas, the old folks in the audience singing every word as if they were 17 and in the 70s or us, watching a bunch of old musicians reliving their yesteryear.

Camp Montgomery

Camden had another great week at Camp Montgomery, the Presbyterian camp in Starke, Florida. It always almost brings me to tears of joy when I see how happy he is after spending a week in such a great environment. I'm even happier when I find out that he's actually taken showers daily, brushed his teeth and actually changed his clothes.

When you're coming up on 15, the dog days of summer require a lot of rest....

Diadophis punctatus (Ringneck)

Today's science lesson for today: Florida's non-venomous snakes.

The Whitehouse all-stars went to the small-park state tournament in Fort White. The boys were seeded number 1 on Sunday, for the semi-finals but must have left their "sticks" in the Itchetucknee River. They were defeated, but not down!

They were one of the top four teams in the tournament, and we were proud!

Britt and Cam

Brittney paid us a short visit, she tried to work on a tan and Camden wanted to play splashing games.
